West Madison Ag Research Station produces leaf/manure compost each season which is available for sale (by delivery only) at $75/cubic yard (2-yd minimum per order) plus delivery fee of $2.47/mile round-trip.  This is an excellent soil amendment that meets certified compost standards. Compost is superior to fertilizer because it creates a more resilient growing environment:

• it has an ideal C:N ratio (25:1 to 40:1)
